Speech (Articulation)
Speech Pathologists are able to assess, diagnose and treat articulatory and phonological delays/disorders in children. Mcleod and Crowe’s (2018) study determined the average age children learn to pronounce English consonants correctly. These ages are highlighted below:

If your child is unable to produce a sound/consonant at the specified age, it is highly recommended that your child attends a speech pathology assessment to determine whether intervention is required.
