Fluency (stuttering)

Stuttering is a speech disorder which affects the fluency of natural speech. Stuttering can vary in severity ranging from very mild to severe. 
A speech pathologist can diagnose a stutter and determine
appropriate intervention.
The Lidcombe Program is one type of treatment approach for children who stutter. It is an evidence-based approach which focuses on positive
reinforcement. The Speech Pathologist will train the parent how to complete
daily practise. Early intervention is recommended.
